When the owners of this historic cottage nestled on the slopes of Red Mountain above Birmingham, Alabama, purchased the home, it had just been completely renovated. The home was already impeccably restored, but over time our clients found it lacked some of the spaces they’d enjoyed in their previous residence. Teaming with architect John Hudson, we designed a Keeping Room addition for the home, a new informal entry area for family and friends, and an amazing tree-top Outdoor Living Room. Outfitted with comfortable furniture, a complete kitchen, and cooling ceiling fans, the porch is the finishing touch on a now perfect home.
